Depends on the cause of your tinnitus. The best way is to resolve the cause, f.i. otitis (=infection of the ear), but it’s much more difficult with cochlear lesions (= problems with the inner ear). IV lidocain or lignocain might resolve the complaints for a couple of seconds or minutes.
There seem to be some tinnitus-masking-devices on the market, but the success rates are quite low. There are no drugs that could cure tinnitus. Most people who suffer a lot from their tinnitus benefit a lot from psychotherapy.
You could try some alternative therapies, like neural therapy. I’ve seen some amazing results with facial pain syndromes, so maybe it might work with tinnitus as well.
